The Story

The Antico Gelso farm was born from the meeting of two people with the same passions: nature, simple things and the desire to do.

Emanuele, the farmers’ son, has cultivated a passion for the land since he was a child; despite his work as a surveyor, he used to help his father in the management of the farmhouse.

The meeting with Daniela gave him the courage to leave his desk and to devote himself full time to his true passion; he thus chose to give a new life to the family business, deciding to make wine from his grapes.

Harvesting the healthy, ripe and fragrant bunches without vinifying them, generated a sense of dissatisfaction in him. After years of experiments and advice from his winemaker friend, he managed to obtain the quality wine he dreamed of.

The company currently has 8 hectares of which 5 are planted with Lugana and Merlot.
